CUMBERLAND CROSS — This design was taken from the top of the Cumberland Cross which is a standing stone cross near the Town of Gosforth in the Cumberland District of Northwest England. It was created sometime during the eighth or ninth century in the Celtic knot-work style common to many stone crosses. It is very unusual in that the stone has not only the Christian cross, but also scenes from Norse mythology which depict the Norse legend of Ragnarok, The End of Days.

BATTERSEA — This shield design is taken from the famous Battersea Shield so named because the shield was found in a peat bog in Battersea England. The Battersea burial site was of a second century Briton of some importance. The shield is an exquisite example of Celtic design. Our shield is patterned after the central section of the original shield which was a large oval.
